WHY WE ARE BUILDING IT
There is no tool in existence mapping financial or economic trauma in the US, nor is there one focused on the experiences of Black people (and other groups targeted by racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression). We've designed this tool to tell a more complete story of financial trauma through the lens of this country's most vulnerable group(s).

A detailed and interactive map feature tracks the severity of incidents across 10 regions today, with more continuing to be added.
QUAL + QUANT METRICS
We incorporate qualitative and quantitative data for a more accurate and comprehensive picture of financial trauma.
MULTIDIMENSIONAL VIEWS
Different view options allow for financial trauma reporting that goes beyond numbers– we take in data and information in a dynamic, story-driven format.
REAL STORIES
We’ve spoken to hundreds of Black women across the US and want their stories to be heard. Every experience is unique and deserves to be told.
